Etawah

Our first city, and the one we know best. Everything we build here has to work properly before we take it anywhere else.

Why we started here

Because we live here.

Etawah is not a pilot chosen from a spreadsheet. It is where our team is based, where our accounting practice has worked with local businesses for years, and where we already know which enterprises keep proper books and which do not.

That matters more than it sounds. The hardest part of investing in a smaller city is not finding businesses — it is knowing which ones are what they claim to be. That knowledge is not available to an outside fund at any price, and it is the only real advantage we have.

It also means we carry the consequences. Reputation in a district town is not an abstraction. If we introduce an investment that was not properly examined, we hear about it at home.

Status

  • Business applications — open
  • Investor registration — open
  • Private placement syndicate — active
  • Angel fund — not yet registered with SEBI
  • Social finance projects — in preparation

No track record yet

  • We have completed no exits and publish no returns, because there are none to publish.
  • Being early here means accepting an unproven process, not a discounted one.
  • If that is not acceptable to you, waiting is a reasonable decision and we will say so.
What we look for

The kind of Etawah business we can help.

We are not looking for startups. We are looking for businesses that already work and are held back by capital rather than by demand.

Operating, not conceptual

Trading history, real customers, and books that can be reconstructed. An idea with a deck is not something we can put in front of an investor.

A specific use of funds

Machinery, a second location, inventory for a known order, working capital for a contract in hand. "Growth" is not a use of funds.

Willing to be examined

Outside capital means outside scrutiny — of accounts, of related-party dealings, of how decisions get made. Some owners do not want that, and that is a legitimate choice.

Able to issue securities

Private placement requires a company. Proprietorships and partnerships may need to convert first, and we can advise on whether that is worth doing.

Compliant, or fixable

GST and income tax filings broadly up to date, or capable of being brought up to date. Investors will look, and so will we.

Realistic about ownership

Raising equity means selling part of the business permanently. Owners who are not comfortable with that are usually better served by a loan.
